Day 30 — Whatever tickles your fancy
I can't help myself.. this one is a tie. I have four favorite movies (and even narrowing it down to four was an enormous challenge!!) Borrowing a Millieism here and making all of them #1.
1. Darling (1965)
1. How to Steal a Million (1966)
1. Meet John Doe (1941)
1. Sullivan's Travels (1941)
VERY VERY close to being my top favorites: The Mind Benders (1963), Dodsworth (1936), Sunday in New York (1963), Hot Enough for June (1964), Accident (1967), Ball of Fire (1941), My Foolish Heart (1950), Hobson's Choice (1954) and The Shootist (1976) (I know, that one is weird for a Kate's favorites list. Surprise surprise!) Of course, these change ALL the time, so if I did this list next year it might be totally different! :D

Would you believe that I haven't seen any of your favorite movies? This must be remedied. I plan to fix the situation as soon as possible! (Does it help if How To Steal A Million and Sullivan's Travels have been on my Netflix queue?
Oh, I have seen one of the runners-up: Ball of Fire. Hooray!
Used to The Quiet Man. Now I am going with Design for Living.
YAYA! Great choices. You are waaay too cool! Seriously!
HECK YES! a "Millieism" ;-D
"Darling" is one of my fifty favorite films of all time. The acting in this film is first rate: Dirk's performance was one of his very best and should have been nominated for an Oscar and Julie was magnificent in the title role giving what I consider the best female performance of the '60s. The script is especially witty and incisive and won a deserved Oscar.
